Its WTO and safe harbour this final week - you can collect on Friday 2 pieces by Reidenberg and one by Charles Raab and Colin Bennett - that one is a really good overview and summary of the types of data protection available as well as the WTO dispute.

Also look at some of last year's materials. If you want to read Reidenberg in direct action, read this.

National Health Service patient database

A doctor has issued a legal opinion claiming that the new NHS database will be unlawful as it does not let patients give full consent, nor does it maintain their confidentiality and restrict use of their data to absolutely necessary purposes.

Google moves search records out of China

To prevent the Chinese Government from being able to access its users' search data, Google is moving the whole lot to US servers. Because the US Government won't be interested in that at all. Probably.
